UNISON South East is committed to equality both in the workplace and in society. UNISON organises members in many different ways such by employer, service group or by occupation. UNISON also organises members around their experience of prejudice and discrimination. To ensure that our this work is member led and driven by grassroots organisation we have branch and regional structures for women members, young members, black members, disabled members and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members. Our self organised groups are an established part of the very fabric that makes UNISON and this is reflected in our democratic structure from branch to national levels. Our aim is to organise members in these groups to participate in recruitment, campaigning and support for workers who have traditionally have not had a voice in the workplace.
If you would like to get involved in a regional self organised group please contact us below or visit the Equality pages on our website.
