UNISON South East values the contribution and commitment of our workplace representative and understands that in order for our activists and representatives to be successful that you need support and training to do your role.
UNISON South East runs training courses for all our representatives, our courses are specifically designed to help branch officers, stewards, union learning representative and health and safety representatives explore the best ways to approach organising roles within their branch.

How do I apply for a course?
Download, print and fill in the application form here, giving us all of your contact details, including contact number and email address in case we need to contact you at the last minute. It is also important for you to give us your membership number as not having this information delays our processing of your application.
What do I do when I have completed my form?
Send your completed form to your local branch for signing by a Branch Officer (usually the Branch Secretary or Education Coordinator) and ask them to send it off to us for you. It is essential that your form has been sent to your local Branch first so that:
We know your branch supports your application
They know you have applied
They can help with time off
They will pay your travel expenses
They will pay any necessary course fees
